Title: The Money Side of the Speaking Business: What-if Scenarios to Match What You Can (or Want to) Get Done With What You Want to Make It
Description:
A backwards approach to matching what you can get done (presentations, travel, preparation, marketing and administration) with the results you want (take-home pay, retirement and savings). If it does not match, learn how to tweak it until it does. Participants will receive easy-to-complete worksheets to create your time and money budget for the speaking part of your business.
Learning Objectives:
- Examine the real time involved in one speaking engagement
- Determine the number of gigs you can do in a year while spending the time you want on your other income-generating activities and only working the hours you want
- Create an upside-down budget to see what revenue you need to bring in
- Answer the one critical question for business success: Does the time you want to invest, the fee you can charge and the income you want match up?
- If not, tweak it until it does or get (stay) out of the speaking business.
